Does Lyme Disease Count for the Boo Boo Box?

It was just confirmed by a blood test, I have LD. My guess is I
contracted it in early May while letterboxing in Borderlands State
Park in Sharon, MA.

That stinks!! :-( My initial test was negative (indicating no previous
exposure), and I'm now on doxy and awaiting a second blood draw in a few
more weeks. I got my lovely tick while boxing out in Hopkinton 2 weeks
ago..big ol' red welt. Eww! :-(.

They are really bad this year!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ouch. Thankfully it is easily treated by antibotics. My
wife had it about 10 years ago.

I took 6 off of me last week. I had had DEET on too! I couldn't see
them except for the welts they raised, (which are still there) I took
200 mg of Doxycycline prophylactically, now waiting until I see a rash!

LMAO--I've just contracted Lyme Disease (LD), too!!! I picked two deer
ticks out of my hide after finding a couple of 'boxes the week before
Memorial Day.
The bullseye rash appeared about a week after I pulled the blood-
sucking little arachnids off me. Blood work isn't back yet (saw the
Dr. yesterday) but he was as confident as was I that it is LD. I
started Doxycycline 100 mg twice daily for 3 weeks yesterday. :p Glad
I recognised the rash and caught it early; hope you did too. LD can be
one nasty bug... Let's hope for the best.

Ticks are horrifically bad this year, unfortunately. Will
definitely dampen letterboxing enthusiasm a bit.

Light, long sleeves and plenty of repellent!!!
